The fees for DBS applications are as follows:

Update Service
If you will be needing your DBS for more than 3 years then it is recommend to subscribe to the Update Service. If you do, your DBS will never expire (unless content is added or your personal information on the DBS certificate has changed (e.g. name/ surname)).
The cost to join is £16 a year (free for volunteer DBS) and means you will not need to complete another DBS application.
If you join and need your DBS extended then please fill out the Status Check form here and we will add to your LTA account.
