The policy is generally effective from the 1st January 2025.  However, in order that players who have already legitimately entered competitions prior to the announcement of the changes are not made ineligible for those competitions, it will be applied by the LTA for individual/pair based Specified Competitions from the 25th January 2025 (i.e. this is the first date from which competitions will all have opened for entry after the announcement of the Policy on 11th December 2024).  For team based Specified Competitions, e.g. county and district leagues, it will be applied by the LTA from the start of the Summer season on 1st April 2025 for the same reason.
