Tennis Coach - South Oxfordshire
This is a part time position based within an established multi-club programme in South Oxfordshire. The programme sees over 250 weekly players across three well-established tennis clubs, all in close proximity (within 10 min drive time). The successful candidate will support the Programme Manager.
Key Days - Monday 16:00 - 19:00, Friday 16:00 - 19:00, Saturday 09:00 - 11:00
This role can be a full time role if you are looking for additional hours.
Responsibilities at Portcullis Tennis Club in Wallingford. There will be some additional hours in various Schools too. The successful coach will work within a team to support the delivery and development of the largest and most successful programmes in Oxfordshire.
On-court delivery consists of a current well established programme at two venues, seeing over 250 weekly players. Delivery includes: LTA Youth Start, mini/junior groups, adult groups of all levels and individuals tuition.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Court Delivery: Continue to deliver and maintain high quality tennis coaching sessions, including LTA Youth Start, Tennis Express, Adult Sessions, and Cardio Tennis. Develop school/club links to enhance the outreach in South Oxfordshire.
Personal Coaching Business: Opportunity to supplement income through individual coaching on a self-employed basis.
The successful candidate will be able to deliver an individual coaching business alongside delivering a group coaching programme. The successful candidate will quickly build a minimum of 10 hours of regular individual coaching sessions, which will be supported with marketing by NTA.
Portcullis LTC is a LTA Registered Venue with over 330 members located on the Hithercroft Sports Park (OX10 9RB) on the edge of Wallingford. The successful applicant will ideally be an LTA Accredited Level 3 coach or above and have:
On-Court:
A minimum 2 years experience as an Accredited LTA Coach, tailoring sessions to cater to a range of skill levels, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of all participants by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
Off-Court Responsibilities:
Strong planning skills to develop and execute long-term visions for programme growth.
Ability to engage with NTA management, Schools, Parents and Committees.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.
General Skills and Qualities:
A dedication to personal and professional development, staying abreast of the latest trends in tennis coaching, sports management, and customer service.
