You may be early on in your tennis career, wanting to start your own business, a seasoned coach, a group or company of tennis coaches or anything in between.
If you’re passionate about tennis, people and community this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brilliant club, build a client base and run a successful business. We understand Rome wasn’t built in a day so you will have our full support to develop and grow at a sustainable pace.
What is important to everyone at Mayfield is that we find a coaching partner who genuinely understands the crucial role that grassroots sports clubs play in our community and wants to be part of growing and sustaining that.
We understand that everyone needs to make a living and that we all have responsibilities. The world of work and how we want it to flex and fit in with our lives has changed a lot in recent years. So although first and foremost we’re looking for a tennis coach, here are some optional extras that you may want to consider. We are open to discussing these as part of the traditional coaching partnership or as a hybrid role:
- Organise and run holiday camps for children and teenagers
- Lead fitness initiatives (e.g.cardio tennis, pickleball, yoga, pilates, personal
training etc)
- Manage club bar operations
- Manage clubhouse hires
- Drive social activities, club/ community events and partnerships
Mayfield Tennis Club https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/mayfieldtennis is part of Mayfield Athletic Club alongside table tennis and cricket sections.
We have a vibrant, diverse and inclusive club community with team players competing in local leagues as well as thriving disability, senior, intermediate and pay to play groups.
Our facilities are modern and fully accessible to wheelchair users and disabled people. We have 5 tennis courts (4 artificial grass - Tiger Turf, resurfaced Jan 2023, with floodlights and 1 macadam), a modern clubhouse with bar and kitchen, car park, an attractive garden and seating area.
Listening to what our community needs and being open to new ideas continues to attract and retain a large number of people who are keen to learn, play and improve, so there’s heaps of potential to develop a partnership that benefits everyone. You can see the findings of our recent survey here: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/mayfieldtennis/News
We’ve also always been a very social lot (we’re well known for the lovely food we provide at home matches), so organising various events during the year brings us together to have fun, welcome new people, play tennis, table tennis, and more recently pickleball too.
