Tennis Coach - Hampshire
This is a full-time position based within an established tennis programme at Warsash Tennis Club and Portswood LTC which sees over 130 weekly players. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Hampshire Coaching Team. This role, for the right candidate, has the potential to become a Head Coach of both venues.
There will be some additional hours in various Schools and Camps too.
On-court delivery consists of a current well established programme at two venues, seeing over 130 weekly players. Delivery includes: LTA Youth Start, mini/junior groups, adult groups of all levels and individuals tuition.
The successful candidate will be able to deliver an individual coaching business alongside delivering a group coaching programme. The successful candidate will quickly build a minimum of 15-20 hours of regular individual coaching sessions, which will be supported with marketing by NTA.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Court Delivery: Continue to deliver and maintain high quality tennis coaching sessions, including LTA Youth Start, Tennis Express, Adult Sessions, and Cardio Tennis. Develop school/club links to enhance the outreach in both venues.
Personal Coaching Business: Opportunity to supplement income through individual coaching on a self-employed basis.
Other duties may be required such as coach meetings, including on and off court training.
Hours & Compensation:
Full-time role, up to 20 hours per week, plus up to 10-15 hours of individual coaching.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
Potential for additional income from personal coaching, competition, camps and community events such as Schools, estimated at £12,000 - £20k per year.
Total combined income potential: Up to £40k

Warsash LTC is situated in the pleasant surroundings of the recreation ground in Warsash village, the club facilities include four new floodlit all-weather hard courts with a small clubhouse. The programme includes players of all levels, from juniors and beginners through to those who wish to play competitive league tennis. Warsash also host a number of LTA tournaments, run Club Championships and various fun events throughout the year.

Portswood tennis club offers a vibrant and welcoming community with high quality facilities, including 3 grass courts and 3 hard courts, perfect for players of all levels. With 5 competitive teams in local leagues, there is an opportunity to deliver some team practice sessions. Portswood comes with a thriving social tennis scene, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The coaching programme has an active junior section and sees over 100 weekly players.

The successful applicant will ideally be an LTA Accredited Level 2 coach or above and have:
On-Court:
A minimum 2 years experience as an Accredited LTA Coach, tailoring sessions to cater to a range of skill levels, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of all participants by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
Off-Court Responsibilities:
Strong planning skills to develop and execute long-term visions for programme growth.
Ability to engage with NTA management, Schools, Parents and Committees.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.
