Padel Coach


We are looking for an enthusiastic LTA Padel Level 2 coach to lead the development and delivery of the club’s padel coaching programmes at all levels. Building a programme for all club standard members, offering a coaching pathway for all members and non-members who are looking to access the club coaching programme. They should have the drive and ambition to undertake the LTA Padel Level 3 qualification when it becomes available.
The successful candidate would be responsible for supervising the daily operation of the Club Programme including scheduling and staffing, and be accountable for coaching and operational delivery of the programme.
This is a part-time flexible role to be negotiated according to availability and demand. There is scope for this role expand to a full-time position.
You would deliver club group coaching adult and junior sessions during term time and holiday camps coaching during the school holidays.
On top of that the role would also include delivering high quality individual lessons with both juniors and adults.
Due to the nature of the programme this role will require working weekends and evenings.
East Dorset Padel has 3 outdoor floodlit padel courts installed in summer 2024.
We are located at the East Dorset Lawn Tennis Club which has 10 all-weather LED lit tennis carpet courts (6 astro and 4 clay), 6 grass tennis courts, 5 croquet lawns, a clubhouse with bar, café, changing rooms and function room and car park etc.
We have a large membership, over 350 padel and 1,000 tennis and croquet.
Person Specification We are looking for a fully committed, enthusiastic and hardworking individual with good people skills to motivate and energise our customers. You will play a key role in shaping the coaching programme, developing and implementing initiatives to increase participation and member retention, and ensuring an outstanding player experience.
The ideal candidate should have a competent playing level.
Passionate for padel and be able to communicate this to existing and potential club members of all ages. Promoting inclusivity and ensuring equality of opportunity within the club. Ability to develop and nurture successful relationships with other coaches, and colleagues, other clubs, LTA, Local Authorities and community partners. Expanding our outreach programme by working with local schools, community groups, universities, and colleges.
A creative thinker, you will need vision and the ability to operate strategically. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage change and adapt services to meet the evolving requirements of a dynamic club environment.
Demonstrate a broad range of professional management and communication skills (both written and verbal). Monitoring court safety and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
Specifically, you will have experience and success in coaching programme management with to develop the best coaching programme possible delivering high-quality coaching sessions.
Fully licensed with current and valid DBS / First Aid and Safeguarding certificates
