Forthill Community Tennis Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Coach. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of coaching experience, a deep understanding of player development, and a commitment to enhancing the tennis experience for all members. We are looking for someone who can offer 1:1 and group coaching to members as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Review our existing coaching programs for players of all ages and skill levels and make any improvements needed.
Provide high-quality individual and group coaching sessions.
Mentor and manage more junior coaches.
Organize and oversee club tournaments, clinics, and social events.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and improvement.
Collaborate with club management to promote and grow the club’s membership.
Stay current with the latest coaching techniques and industry trends.

We are happy to negotiate a retainer for the right candidate but essentially the successful candidate .

Our current coach is leaving his position at the end of December 2024 so we would be looking for the new position to start in January 2025.

Forthill Community Tennis Club is a unique, inclusive and family-friendly tennis club, based at Forthill Community Sports Club (FCSC) on Fintry Place, Broughty Ferry. FCSC is a multi sports club catering for Tennis, Cricket, Rugby, Squash and Table Tennis.
We are situated right next door to the biggest primary school in Dundee (Forthill PS) thus creating huge links to developing our programme. Through our friendly committee and club coach, we aim to provide a range of playing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities 12 months of the year. Our facilities include 3 new all-weather floodlit artificial clay courts, free car park, changing rooms, bar and function hall, kitchen area and a small indoor sports centre. Coming in 2025 are 2 covered padel tennis courts, pickleball and an additional tennis court.

We are an LTA-accredited club, meaning we are management-efficient and operate as an inclusive , safe and progressive organisation. We work closely with Tennis Scotland and local partnerships to develop our club and community outreach programmes by offering tennis coaching opportunities to all.

Membership sits at approx. 150 members and we use clubspark as our club management solution.

Proven experience as a tennis coach, with a minimum of 3 years in a coaching role.
Level 3 LTA Accredited (or a Level 2 working towards Level 3).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with players of all ages and abilities.
Leadership experience and the ability to inspire and manage a small coaching team.
Passion for tennis and a commitment to player development.
