We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Level 3 or above accredited+ tennis coach.

If you are an ambitious, motivated self-starter, with the hunger and passion to develop a successful and thriving tennis programme at a club that has huge potential, then this is the position for you!

This position would suit a coach who has 5 to 10 years’ experience who is looking to build on a small existing coaching programme. This would involve a concentration of time upon appointment to define the coaching programme with the Committee, market this programme in the local schools and community, and develop links with the local primary and secondary schools. The club will help fund the development of these links. After this initial input, the chances are you will be running a large, successful tennis programme.

The club is well situated to develop links with five local primary schools and a large secondary school, all within 5.5 miles of the club. This is a key focus area for the Club, so previous experience in developing such links would be desirable.

The successful applicant will also strive to create good relationships with our existing members, developing sessions that suit both adults and juniors with a range of abilities.

Winscombe Tennis Club is a friendly village tennis club located in the sporting heart of this thriving village. We currently have 90 adult members and 25 junior members. However, with a number of new housing developments within a 5 mile radius, the potential for this to increase is substantial.

Our facilities include 6 macadam courts, all of which are floodlit, and a large clubhouse with recently renovated lounge area and kitchen, as well as changing rooms and showers.

The club fields several teams in local leagues, has five weekly club sessions and holds friendly tennis events throughout the year.

•Hold an LTA accreditation at level 3 or above.

•Have up to date liability insurance, first aid certification and a current DBS certificate.

•Be an ambitious, motivated self-starter, with the hunger to develop and run a successful and thriving programme at the Club.

•Be enthusiastic about developing club-school links.

•Have excellent communication skills.

•Be well organised, reliable and punctual.

•Be experienced in coaching adults and juniors of all ages from 4yrs upwards.

•Be passionate and enthusiastic about the sport.

•Be competent in business skills such as marketing and financial management.

•Play tennis to a good standard and be willing to represent the club in league tennis.

•Have the ability to maintain a website.

•Having the knowledge of the ClubSpark booking system would be advantageous.
