Development Coach - Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club
Working with groups and individuals of varying age ranges and abilities, we are looking for a highly motivated, self-employed, full-time coach who is experienced and happy working as part of a team within an established all year round club programme, developing players to team standard . Working hours would involve Sundays as well as some evenings, with potential for individual lessons throughout the week with many clients available daytime. Junior team captaincy and organisation of one day tournaments would be required. Any experience of working with disabilitiy groups and schools would be preferable.
Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club has over 900 active members in the heart of Cambridge. There are 16 outdoor courts, 7 artificial grass, 7 tarmacadam (11 floodlit) and 2 grass. The coaching programme of adults and juniors is well established and has over 450 players a week and runs all year round. Ages range from 4 to 84 years old, and we have group lessons for all abilities including local schools. The club has a full time management team for the day to day running of the club, as well as a committee that are welcoming and friendly helping with social events on and off the court. Starting October 21st. We are looking for an experienced, professional and well organised person who can develop players with a passion for tennis and ethos that tennis is a sport for life. There would be opportunities to play in the teams that are in the top county divisions and regional tier of the national league, if standards were suitable. Also for personal career development a mentoring scheme with experienced level 5 Master coaches. Working hours would include weekends and some evenings, with a high demand for daytime lessons.
