Portishead has a thriving tennis club with 130 members and 90 Juniors in training.

We have 5 outdoor courts in a beautiful location, with mens and ladies league teams, and junior league teams.

We are looking for a self-employed head coach to take over the training programme which includes.

1. Juniors squads every afternoon during term times, and on Saturday mornings. There are 90 juniors in training altogether.
2. Adult one to one coaching - currently about 15 sessions a week at present, but scope to grow.
3. Adult group coaching - plus league team training sessions during league
4. Holiday kids camps

We would also like the head coach to participate in open days and work with the committee at club management meetings -- about every 6 weeks. We have a strong committee of volunteer members with ambitions to grow the club.

The head coach will manage the training, and work with the club committee to plot out the coaching year, manage the junior training (including the finances), and to manage other coaches as needed. We have a group of older juniors who help with running the group sessions for the younger ones. Ability to string rackets is an advantage as well.

The Club is on the sea front in the and growing seaside town of Portishead in North Somerset. We have 5 hard courts in good condition, and a beautiful location. The club is run but a committee of volunteers, and has 130 adult members and 90 juniors on the training programme, with ambitions to expand both. We have an existing kit store with rackets balls and, junior nets available to the incoming coach.

We are looking for a level 3 or 4 coach to take over as our head coach. You will need to be able to manage the training programme, work with the club committee, be happy to work with juniors of all ages, and manage other coaches.
