Self Employed Level 3 Coach or Aspiring Level 2 at Teddington LTC in Middlesex SW London
The applicant should have the following
•Level 3 Licensed Coach preferable, however a strong level 2 coach will be considered to join and bring great energy to a brilliant team of coaches.
•Experience in leading mini, junior and adult development groups.
•Experience of working in primary and secondary schools is advantageous but not essential to help encourage bringing in players to the club from these links. Fully supported by the head coach and other assistant coaches.
•To be flexible with working hours as there are coaching sessions at weekends (currently Fridays off and Sunday Mornings off)
•Well organised and good at time keeping.
•Help run LTA Team Challenge and Themed Tournaments for our Competitions Programme. Help run Junior Teams
•Able to work on their own or in a group.
Teddington LTC is an exciting, fun club that was Middlesex Club of the year in 2021. We proudly have 8 Men’s & 8 Women’s Teams competing in the summer leagues and around 650 members and mini and junior teams (6 outdoor - 3 artificial clay, 3 tiger turf which 5 are floodlight). For all ages, our aim is to always attract players in to our fun club environment, encourage them to meet new people, join coaching sessions, welcome them to coach led social tennis sessions and join teams if they wish. We have great links with local schools as well as a busy mini / junior and adult coaching programme. This is a unique club with a vibrant social, coaching and team environment and had 49 players aged between 14 and 29 years of age competing in the adult teams in 2024. We can’t wait for you to join the fun and make a difference in people’s lives.
This position would suit a coach who is
- Passionate & energetic to help improve players levels and opportunities to play.
- Great communication skills and who has experience of coaching and leading mini, junior & adult sessions.
- A team player that wants to continually learn and improve their own skills.
- We have a great close coaching team that are looking forward to a new dynamic coach coming in and and helping build our club and schools programme.
- The committee fully support the coaching team and we work closely to strive to give our members the best experience on and off court that we can. The committee work tirelessly themselves and really appreciate the coaches support in many areas on and off court.
