We're a newly established Tennis Academy in Hampshire and are expanding! We're looking for an assistant tennis coach who can join our team and assist in coaching tennis sessions after school, on weekends and during the school holidays - specific days and times to be discussed, happy to be flexible and accommodate other commitments. We currently hold five after school sessions and two weekend sessions, as well as school holiday camps. We have over 120 children involved in the Academy and are always looking to expand.

This is a great opportunity for someone enthusiastic to share the love of tennis while having the chance to be part of a growing Academy. Would ideally like the successful applicant to start ASAP.

Responsibilities:
- Providing training to students who want to learn tennis or improve their skills
- Coordinating group tennis lessons (potentially on occasion individual lessons)
- Developing training programmes based on students' skills
- Evaluating students' performance
- Teaching rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport
- Motivating students and helping improve their performance
- Maintaining equipment and attending matches or competitions

Must have up to date accreditation (ie DBS) and must be able to drive with own transport.

The Ditcham Park Tennis Academy is set in the estate of the independent school, Ditcham Park. We're located just outside Petersfield, situated in the middle of the South Downs National Park, with spectacular views of the rolling Hampshire hills and south, across the Solent, as far as the Isle of Wight.

The Ditcham Park Tennis Academy was formed in 2023 as a way for children, of Ditcham and the surrounding area, to learn and improve their tennis skills, following a training programme to progress and develop into high-performing tennis players. Our Academy offers more than just an after school club with our vision to be renowned for our tennis players competing with local schools and taking part in accredited competitions.

We have superb facilities for all year round play with 6 grass courts for the summer months, 2 hard courts, 2 astro courts and 6 indoor courts.

Enthusiastic and has a genuine interest to develop tennis skills in students

Professional and well-organised

Passion for tennis

Current LTA level 2 accreditation

Proven experience working as a Tennis Coach or Instructor

Sound knowledge of various coaching techniques

CPR and first aid certificates

Ability to motivate students

Good communication and team leadership skills

Must be able to drive with own transport
