Coach - Newcastle, Gateshead & South Tyneside
This role is based across our clubs and park venues across Newcastle, Gateshead and / or South Tyneside. As a coach, you will be at the helm of all activities, overseeing group lessons, one-on-one coaching, and educational outreach to schools. This is a unique chance to help build and expand a tennis program that prioritizes community engagement, working hand-in-hand with a national organisation.
with newly upgraded facilities, we are able to offer this role to a coach who is looking for a full-time career in tennis.
The position offers a minimum of 20 hours of group coaching weekly, with the flexibility to take on more individual and / or group coaching sessions, thus enhancing your income. You'll have the autonomy to expand group classes, tailoring sessions for mini tennis, juniors, adults, and schools. Beyond regular sessions, there are opportunities to lead holiday camps and tournaments to suit.
While an LTA Level 2 Coaching Qualification or higher is preferred, it's not mandatory. We're looking for driven individuals; successful applicants will benefit from extensive support, including a thorough onboarding program to ease into the role effectively. As the local CDC, we are able to help support with coaching qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Oversee and deliver a superior tennis program for all skill levels and ages at various park locations.
Coaching Commitment: Provide at least 20 hours weekly of coaching for juniors, adults, and schools, with flexibility for extra individual sessions or additional group sessions
Programme Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and refine the program to boost participation and venue usage.
Event Support: Play an active role in holiday camps and tournaments as needed.
Team Support: Take on additional tasks to ensure the team and program's success.
