Tennis Coach
Frindsbury LTC is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Tennis Coach or above to join our friendly and dynamic team. An exciting opportunity has arisen, for a highly motivated, experienced coach to build a coaching programme and engage membership within a successful local club. We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate coach to work with a supportive community and contribute to the development of players in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
The club has had a large investment in facilities including a refurbished club house and patio facilities, the addition of a bar, and the building of 6 floodlit Padel courts. We have 6 hard tennis courts of which the re-painting of 3 are scheduled for early Spring (other 3 done last year), our aim is to change 3 of our courts to artificial clay in the medium term. We are now looking for a coach to work with the club to develop a junior and adult tennis programme.
The ideal candidate would have experience working in a club environment, is a professional and well organised person who can develop players with a passion for tennis and ethos that tennis is a sport for life and be able to show current LTA accreditation.
•Be skilled at coaching and promoting the LTA’s initiatives such as LTA Youth Start, Tennis Xpress and Cardio Tennis
•Understand the governing body’s products and work
•Be flexible with working daytime, evenings and at least one day at weekends. •Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
•Be hard working, highly motivated, committed, ambitious and have initiative •Be professional, reliable and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
•Have a good playing level (would like to play in league matches when available)
•Show attention to detail and good administration
•Have experience of and a willingness to coach in schools
There would be opportunities to play in the teams that are in the top county divisions and regional tier of the national league, if standards were suitable.
