Purpose of the Role:

The primary purpose of the Tennis Coach is to develop the skills, techniques, and performance of tennis players ranging from beginners to advanced levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching Sessions: Conduct individual(5/6h) and group coaching sessions 5/6h tailored to various skill levels, ensuring each player receives personalised attention and guidance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of coaches to plan, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive tennis program.

Team Structure: This role is part of a dynamic team of tennis coaches. You will collaborate closely with Level 2 and Level 4 coaches, as well as support staff, to deliver a cohesive and effective coaching program. Team meetings and collaborative planning sessions will be a regular part of your responsibilities to ensure the highest quality of training and development for all.

We are a prestigious health, swimming, and tennis club with over 2,000 members, featuring six tennis courts (five floodlit) and one floodlit padel court. The ideal candidate for this role will be a passionate and enthusiastic tennis coach with at least two years of coaching experience.

Key competencies and attributes include:

  • Experience: Minimum two years of coaching experience, preferably with a Level 2 or 3 certification.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of tennis techniques and training methods.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple sessions and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective interaction with players, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creativity and Initiative: Proactive in bringing new ideas and approaches to the coaching program.
  • Team Player: Works well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing positively.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Consistently on time and dependable.
  • Passionate and Fun: Creates an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere for players.
  • Supportive and Inclusive: Ensures all players feel included and supported.
