Middlesex Tennis – Team Administrator
To act as the administrative support for Middlesex Tennis. This will include (but not be limited to):
Business Support
- Attend weekly operational team meeting (online)
- Attend quarterly County Office team meeting (in person)
Performance and County Cup Provide administrative support for all Middlesex County Training, County Cup Events and County Championships, to include:
- Booking of venues and facilities
- Communicating sessions to coaches, parents and players
- Booking team accommodation at County Cup events
- Distribute consent forms to team players and ensure they are returned and signed prior to event
Middlesex Competitions Support
- Support with the administration of Middlesex Leagues and competitions Communications
- Monitor County email inboxes and respond to or direct queries to relevant persons
- Send out set communications to stakeholders where appropriate
- Support the County in administering and communicating events such as Coach and Venue Forums and Middlesex Awards Evening throughout the year
Sponsorship
- Provide general admin support for sponsorship partnerships
Safeguarding - Monitor Coach Accreditation status for Middlesex County Coaches and issue timely reminders for renewals
- Provide support to the Middlesex Safeguarding Officer when required Financials
- Support the work of the Sponsorship Advisory Group in the preparation of sponsorship agreements, invoices, and receipts
- Track income, fees and expenses for Performance Programme
General - To undertake any other duties deemed relevant by the Middlesex Tennis Management Board
- The above areas of work will be carried out in conjunction with other members of the County Team as well as the Chair and Secretary of the Middlesex Management Board. Additionally, there may be other tasks that are ad hoc based around events in the County.
Middlesex Tennis takes responsibility for the administration and development of tennis throughout the County, from those just thinking of taking up the game to tournament players of all levels. The County Association affiliates to the LTA and upholds their rules and regulations. We work closely with the LTA to implement their vision of ‘Tennis Opened Up’ and support their mission to transform communities through tennis to make tennis welcoming, enjoyable and inspiring to everyone.
The Middlesex Tennis Management Board is comprised of a group of volunteers, all of whom have a particular interest in tennis and specialist skills relevant to the organisation and its work. We constantly strive to improve and broaden the services we offer so that we give support and service of the highest quality to all those involved with tennis in the County.
- A willingness to undertake all administrative tasks
- An ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Good relationship management, with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Excellent personal organisational skills and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- IT competent with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desirable - A passion for tennis and sport in general
- An understanding of sport and competition structures within a club, school and community environment
- Knowledge and experience of online league management software and clubspark
- An interest and experience of safeguarding, diversity and inclusion within a sporting environment
Training will be provided where necessary.
