We are looking to recruit a committed, reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working coach to run our U8s Tennis Programme.

Any suitable candidate would continue to develop our U8s grassroots programme. They would need motivation to develop this programme into a performance U8s programme, working alongside the Head Coach.

The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of working with pre-school aged children, grassroots children as well as adults.

A good understanding of the LTA Youth Programme is required.

There would be a lot of opportunities to pick up 1:1 sessions and hitting hours with both children and adults.

Elly Shearman Tennis Coaching is based at Kings Tennis Club in Bishopston, Bristol. Our Junior Programme coaches over 300 kids per week, with many children regularly competing.

With a dedicated team of friendly and experienced coaches, we aim to put tennis at the heart of the community. We welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in the sport to play, regardless of their age or ability.

At Elly Shearman Coaching we coach children to performance level and have children competing at regional and national level, as well as two players on the LTA longlist.

Kings Tennis Club has 7 outdoor courts (6 floodlit courts), a volunteer run committee and is located in a family based residential area in Bishopston (central Bristol).

Evidence of delivering a thriving, varied coaching programme for juniors and adults of all abilities.

Entrepreneurial ability including openness to try new ideas and attract new players.

The existing partnership with another coaching assistant(s) or evidence of how they can effectively build such a team.

Evidence of training and encouraging people to achieve LTA level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications. Strong interpersonal skills (welcoming, energetic and friendly) with evidence of having the ability to work with people of all backgrounds.

All candidates should have the requisite DBS certification and a clear understanding of the LTA safeguarding standards.
