Chesterfield Lawn Tennis Club - Junior Development Coach
Tennis Chesterfield is looking for a reliable, well organised, independent and energetic lead coach to join our team. The tennis programme at Chesterfield LTC has been recently awarded LTA Youth Recognised Venue Status and we are looking to build on this by strengthening our coaching team.
We expect the successful candidate to have a mixed timetable of club groups (adults and juniors), open court programme, individual lessons, holiday camps, events and school’s sessions. All group lessons are based indoors which gives guaranteed income for coaches; there are options for individual lessons to be indoors or outdoors. It is expected the successful candidate will build a strong diary of 30 to 40 hours weekly.
The successful candidate will receive a £1500 retainer in year 1 in return for taking leadership of the following focus areas:
•Developing Junior Team Tennis
•Junior Club Night
•Junior Club Competition Calendar
Formed in 2018, Tennis Chesterfield is headed up by Charlie Pick and Jonny Brooke each of whom has extensive experience in the tennis industry, having operated in the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire area for over 15 years.
Chesterfield Lawn Tennis Club has 3 Indoor and 7 outdoor courts which makes for an ideal base for building a work timetable all year round.
Currently Tennis Chesterfield has 400+ participants who engage in tennis weekly.

The successful candidate will be adaptable in delivery methods and bring tennis to life to all ages. It is essential that the candidate is able to organise large groups with the help of assistants and volunteers.
We have a strong base of Junior players and we are looking for the right candidate to play a leading role in providing pathways for players to develop to a county standard.
