To deliver sessions and assist the Tennis Manager in expanding the Newport LIVE Tennis Programme. The Tennis Instructor should be organised and have good communication skills. The successful candidate should have a passion for tennis and will be expected to work with players of all ages and abilities.

1.1Hold a current Lawn Tennis Association Level 2 Qualification (C)
1.2Hold Current LTA Accreditation (C)
1.3Possess a knowledge of the LTA Youth development pathway and competition environments (Cardio Tennis, Tennis Xpress and Touch Tennis qualification/training) (A,I)
1.4LTA Youth Start Training (A)
1.5Hold Current Emergency First aid Certificate (A,C)
2.1Possess excellent communication skills, verbally and written with colleagues, young people, and partner agencies (A,I)
2.2Possess excellent time management and organisational skills (A.I)
2.3Possess a customer focused approach (A,I)
2.4Ability to work on own initiative (I/T)
2.5Ability to work with young people from varying backgrounds and with children/adults with specific needs (I)
2.6Knowledge of tennis guidelines/standards (I)
3.1Experience of interacting with adults and young people and young people in a busy customer service environment (A,I)
3.2Experience of working with adults and young people in a Tennis environment (A,I)
3.3Experience of delivering Beginner and Intermediate coaching levels (A)
3.4Experience of event and competition organisation (A.I)
3.5Experience of working in a Tennis Environment and coaching team (A)
4.1 Self-motivated and punctual (I)
4.2 Patience and understanding whilst working with all pupils including children/adults/groups with specific needs (I/T)
4.3 Display a professional attitude in approaching challenges in the workplace (I)
4.4Be able to show commitment to continuous personal development and willingness to continue training. (I)
4.5Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure (A)
4.6Demonstrate high standards of personal appearance and maintenance of a clean working environment (A)
4.7 Be physically able to undertake full duties of the role (T)
5.1 Ability to work flexibly including mornings, daytimes, evenings and weekends (A)
