Coach Development Centres
LTA Coach Development Centres (CDCs) sit at the heart of tennis and padel coach education in Great Britain.
Each CDC has the responsibility of running courses in their assigned counties. This includes delivering qualifications (Levels 1-3), workshops, Coach Forums, first aid courses, and safeguarding courses.
Having a CDC deliver courses locally means that they can tailor the courses on offer to coaches in their region. A CDC’s role is to provide dedicated support to coaches in their area and provide local, expert training for current and aspiring coaches.
Coach Development Centres will become Workforce Development Centres from January 2026. This network will play an integral role in our strategy by delivering quality Qualification and Continuous Professional Development opportunities in coaching and officiating across tennis and padel. This national network will provide local expertise and opportunities to thousands of coaches and officials each year, ensuring we can effectively grow and diversify these critical roles across every part of Great Britain.
The 2025 Tender Guidance document provides current and prospective applicants information on the criteria, timelines and key details in order to submit a tender to join the LTA Workforce Development Centre network.
