- The Welfare Officer Induction course is designed for new welfare officers who want to increase their knowledge and confidence. Led by two Regional Safeguarding Officers, you will learn about your first steps in the role, receive practical tips and have the opportunity to ask questions.
- By the end of this course, you will:
- Understand the core responsibilities of a welfare officer and learn how to handle safeguarding concerns.
- Establish how to build strong relationships with the committee, coaches, volunteers, members and young-persons.
- Learn how to promote and embed safeguarding within your venue.
- Know where to access support and resources.
- This course should be taken once you have completed the Safeguarding and Protection course or submitted your external safeguarding training certificate.
