By the end of this course, you will:
- Become familiar with the LTA’s vision and mission to open tennis up, and where pickleball fits into this
- Have an understanding of pickleball’s history
- Understand basic ways to set up, play and score a pickleball game
- Be able to confidently and safely deliver a fun introductory pickleball session to people within your venue and programmes
- Have an understanding of the competition landscape for pickleball
This is a fantastic course for coaches, parents, players or teachers who are seeking to gain a better understanding of the sport and would like to facilitate introductory sessions at their venues. In it you’ll find extensive information on how to play, score and the most common playing formats to use, so you can give everyone a fun experience of pickleball.
There are two formats of this course, this online course and a face-to-face course (coming soon). We encourage you to attend both to gain the knowledge, skill and experience to deliver.
