This enhanced five-day qualification is ideal for for those looking to build on the coaching foundations of LTA Assistant, enabling you to lead in the delivery of group coaching.
Learning outcomes include:
- Develop more advanced skills in communication and organisation
- Have introductory knowledge of ‘observation and analysis’ of players
- Be able to provide general coaching advice across physical, mental, tactical, and technical domains
- Plan and deliver structured lessons from official LTA Adult and Junior coaching products e.g., Cardio Tennis, Tennis Xpress, LTA Youth
- Understand basic principles of skill acquisition, safeguarding and player development
Please note: From October 2022 anyone holding an LTA instructor qualification, and who is delivering coaching activity at LTA Registered venues is required to be LTA Accredited.

Tennis Scotland is the national governing body for tennis in Scotland. Working closely with sportscotland and the LTA, our mission is to get ‘more people playing tennis more often’. Tennis Scotland focuses on a number of key areas of work which include coach development, competition and officiating, performance tennis, disability tennis and general tennis development programmes.
