This enhanced five-day qualification is ideal for those looking to build on the coaching foundations of LTA Assistant, enabling you to lead in the delivery of group coaching.
Learning outcomes include:
- Develop more advanced skills in communication and organisation
- Have introductory knowledge of ‘observation and analysis’ of players
- Be able to provide general coaching advice across physical, mental, tactical, and technical domains
- Plan and deliver structured lessons from official LTA Adult and Junior coaching products e.g., Cardio Tennis, Tennis Xpress, LTA Youth
- Understand basic principles of skill acquisition, safeguarding and player development
In addition to the five-day course, guide learning hours are approximately 22 hours. This incorporates around:
- 8 hours qualification experience, including practical video-based tasks,
- 14 hours of online coursework on the LTA Learn platform including 15 Learn units, tests and tasks.
Please note: From October 2022 anyone holding an LTA instructor qualification, and who is delivering coaching activity at LTA Registered venues is required to be LTA Accredited.

We Do Tennis is an approved LTA Coach Development Centre.
We Do Tennis offer both LTA qualifications and CPD courses. We deliver LTA qualifications at Assistant (Level 1), Instructor (Level 2) and Coach (Level 3) plus LTA and bespoke CPD courses. Our bespoke courses include First Aid, and courses relevant to growing a coaching business.
Our philosophy is to continually provide outstanding training courses with first class customer service. We Do Tennis guides people to perform with excellence during training, preparing students to be ‘job ready’ in their current and future coaching positions.
We believe in making our courses accessible to everyone. We work hard to open tennis up to new communities as well as traditional tennis clubs and venues.
