The LTA Youth Schools Secondary Teacher Training course is based on innovative content that has been developed by teachers for teachers, to help you deliver high quality, inclusive and fun physical education lessons.
The LTA are an afPE Professional Development Board Approved Provider, recognising the high standard of both the resources and the teacher training we provide.
Course Content
This free 2 hour practical course is designed to improve knowledge of the game of tennis and takes you through how to use our innovative resources, including how tennis can be adapted and differentiated for all learners.

Our comprehensive range of resources, including detailed lesson plans (fully mapped to the curriculum, with learning objectives), are available for free at www.lta.org.uk/schools - please register to access the full suite of resources ahead of this course.
In addition, teachers attending the course will receive a £250 voucher* to spend on 10 hours free team teaching with a local LTA Accredited Coach or tennis equipment! (*the voucher is limited to one per school).
Pre-requisites
This course is aimed at those involved in delivering or supporting physical education in a secondary school environment.
It is recommended that you complete the online Secondary teacher training course prior to attending, although not essential. This course can be found on the Teacher Training tab within the Schools Portal https://www.lta.org.uk/school-portal/my-training/

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is the national governing body for tennis in Great Britain. Our vision is ‘Tennis opened up’, and our mission is to grow tennis by making it relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable. We’re here to govern and develop tennis in Britain, from grassroots participation through to the professional game.
