The LTA Senior Coach curriculum prepares candidates for lead and head coach roles and develops deeper expertise with on-court coaching frameworks.
Upon successful completion you will have the skills needed to coach a wide range of participants and standards from Mini Tennis to adult competition.
The course is 12 days in duration and includes pre-module remote sessions (x4) and a minimum of two face-to-face and one remote elective.
Online coursework is hosted on LTA Learn and coaches will be required to undertake a number of video tasks throughout the course and submit two video assessments at the end - a 60 minute Group lesson and a 60 minute Individual lession.
Course prerequisites
- Hold either the LTA Tennis Coach qualification, Level 3 or equivalent.
- Be an LTA Accredited+ Coach
- Have (or have had) a rating of 5.1, a Play Test grade 2 or completed the LTA Senior Coach Readiness Test.
Candidates must attend all sessions of the course, attend specific elective days and pass all elements of assessment to be successful.

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is the national governing body for tennis in Great Britain.
