** This is a refresher course for coaches. You MUST have previously completed the face to face (or virtual classroom) LTA 'Safeguarding & Protection in Tennis' workshop (or one approved by the LTA) within the last three years and 6 months to book onto this course. **
Please note: This course is not a virtual classroom and so you are able to start and finish the course within a timeframe that best suits you.
This course is open to all coaches regardless of qualification. It can be completed to renew the Level 1 safeguarding pre-requisite of coach accreditation. Once the course is completed, this will renew your safeguarding credentials for a further 3 years.
In this course you will refresh your learning on:
- The different types of abuse
- What you should do if you see or suspect that a person is being, or likely to be, abused
- How to safeguard yourself
- Where to go for help and advice
The course consists of a course presentation, audio and a quiz. It has been approved by the LTA for 2 CPD credits upon successful completion.

The LTA is the national governing body for tennis in Great Britain, and its mission is to get more people play tennis more often. The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) provides online educational courses for coaches, officials and other tennis stakeholders. Content is developed, delivered and authored by the LTA.
