Are you looking for new ways to develop your coaching career and business? In this webinar, Stuart Maidment, Level 5 Master Club Coach and LTA's Parks Investment Delivery Manager, takes you through all the opportunities available for coaches in parks.
As part of the LTA's vision of 'Tennis opened up' and mission to grow tennis by making it relevant, accessible welcoming, and enjoyable, over 2500 courts across parks in Britain have been transformed and reopened to the public. With currently 1.7 million adults and many more children playing tennis in a local park every year, this is a huge market still to be explored.
Stuart spent 15 years coaching at parks in Birmingham, helping to increase tennis participation in the region. All this great work resulted in winning the LTA Coach of the Year in 2013 and the LTA Venue of the Year in 2015 for Cannon Hill Park.
In his current role as LTA's Parks Investment Delivery Manager, Stuart uses funding from the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) and LTA Tennis Foundation to renovate parks across the UK. This funding helps get operators and coaching providers in place, maximising the increase in participation and sustainability of park courts.
