I have been coaching for 10 years as a professional coach have been a level 4 coach for 3 years and have worked in park clubs to start with then have been at David Lloyd Poole for 8 years as a coach and now have a new challenge at east Dorset tennis club. I love seeing my players get better tennis is a real passion of mine as I have been playing tennis since I was 4 years. Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
