Ben has been coaching for 10 years and is currently the Head of Tennis at Horsley Sports Club. Before that Ben worked at the AELTC delivering tennis in local schools around the borough of Merton. During this he carried out a talent ID search identifying young, local and talented children to come play on the WJTI programme. Ben also coaches ball kids where most recently he trained a team of 48 children, that have no previous experience, to become elite ball kids for the ATP/WTA and Laver Cup.

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
