Following a full tennis scholarship playing for the University of Arizona on the top PAC12 USA tour I returned to the UK to play on the ladies tennis tour. Reaching top 5 in the UK and winning the Kent singles title four times (junior and adult categories). I founded the Sophia Thomas Tennis Academy in Bexleyheath coaching to all standards and ages including after school clubs, pay&play and school holiday tennis camps. I am a LTA regional coach supporting high performance junior players.

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
