I have worked as a Professional Tennis coach for over 30 years, and worked across a broad range of levels. From performance coaching in my younger years where i coached 5 players who eventually went on to play at Wimbledon, through to my latter years where i have set up busy and successfully coaching programmes in clubs which have thrived in recent years. I am current Head Coach at West Heaton Tennis Club in Stockport, and Priory Tennis Club in Cheshire.

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
