Hi Im Iain. Ive been a professional tennis coach for nearly 10 years working up and down the UK with players of all standards, ages and abilities. I have overseen highly successful adult and junior tennis programmes in Surrey and have introduced tennis into schools throughout the country. My strength comes from my 2 core values that I rigidly apply to everything I do on court; 1) Did they have fun 2) Did they get better Off of the court I am highly organised and reliable. Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
