I have been coaching in Sussex for 30 years and have played competitively for a club and county, i spent time in America in a junior college aged 21. I started coaching when i was 22 have the following philosophy: I hope to nurture well rounded tennis players to be equipped with life skills, i hope they always enjoy playing tennis and reach their potential. I believe the environment is key to keeping players in the game. This has to be fun, friendly and inclusive. Everybody is welcome

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
