About the venue

Blackheath is one of Greenwich's Green Flag Award-winning sites, in partnership with Lewisham Council. The land north of the A2 road is managed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and it has a large expanse of grassland, on relatively level ground. There are some undulating areas of gorse and scrub to the east of the heath near Vanbrugh Terrace. There is a small pond at the junction of Charlton Way and Shooters Hill Road with a tea hut nearby. In Chesterfield Walk there are 3 hard surface tennis courts which were fully refurbhished in February 2024 Free & paid parking is available on surrounding residential roads. Some roads require permits for certain time periods Toilets are available at the entrance to Greenwich Park.
