For the first time ever, the European qualifiers for the World Padel Championships are coming to Great Britain. Find out everything you need to know about this year’s competition.
When are the World Padel Championships qualifiers?
This year’s European qualifiers for the World Padel Championships will take place from 30 September to 2 October.
The top teams will then progress to the Finals later this year from 31 October to 5 November.
Where will the World Padel Championships qualifiers take place?
The European qualifiers for the World Padel Championships will be hosted at We Are Padel Derby, the largest padel venue in Britain, featuring 11 courts.
The Finals in October and November will be played in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Which teams are competing at the World Padel Championships qualifiers?
There will be 15 women’s and 18 men’s teams competing at the qualifiers in Derby.
The nations competing in the women’s event are: Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.
Great Britain will enter as the second seed behind Denmark, with Sweden and Finland as the third and fourth seeds.
The teams taking part in the men’s competition are: Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.
The Brits will also be the second seeds in their event, with Germany as the top seeds. Poland come in as the third seeds, while Denmark come in as the fourth seeds.

What is the format for the World Padel Championships qualifiers?
In both competitions, teams will start off in the group stages with the top team in each group progressing to either a quarter-finals, or semi- final stage, depending on their group seedings.
Winning teams from the semi-finals will qualify. There will also be a third and fourth place play-off in the men’s draw.
The top two women’s teams and top three men’s teams that progress from the qualifying competition will take their place at the XVI World Padel Championship in Dubai.
Ties are played as a best of three matches, with each match being best of three tie-break sets.
