Wrexham Tennis Centre hosts the LTA’s Visually Impaired Tennis National Finals for the third year in a row this weekend as 47 athletes line up for three days of singles and doubles competition across a range of sight classifications.

The culmination of a domestic calendar of LTA regional events for players who have various degrees of sight loss, this final showdown will showcase Britain’s brightest talent with a visual impairment.

This year’s Visually Impaired Tennis National Finals will take place from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 November.

Who is set to play at the Visually Impaired Tennis National Finals 2023?

This year’s Visually Impaired Tennis National Finals entry features all nine of the Great Britain players who won two gold, five silver, and four bronze medals at August’s IBSA World Games in Birmingham, the most prestigious international multisport competitions for athletes with a visual impairment outside the Paralympic Games.

Amanda Large, Monica Smith and Naqi Rizvi, World Games gold and silver medallists in either singles or doubles in Brimingham, will be among the leading contenders for National titles again this year, while World Games silver and bronze medallists Neil Balmforth and Ivan Rodriguez-Deb will be among those returning to Wrexham in a bid to retain National titles.
