Ticketing update: 2021 LTA summer grass court events
• 2 MINUTE READ
Following on from last month's announcement confirming our grass court tournament summer schedule, we're now in a position to provide further details on our ticketing plans.
We're doing all we can to allow spectators at our events, but things will have to be different in order to prioritise the health and safety of players, officials, volunteers and spectators.
Most of our events provisionally fall within Stage Three of the Government’s Roadmap for events and as such there are a number of restrictions we will have to apply. To deliver a safe event for all, the Government Roadmap indicates we will have to:
- Ensure social distancing of one metre plus
- Re-configure seating structures and layouts
- Reduce overall spectator capacity
Consequently the total number of available seats across our grass court events will be approximately 25% of normal total capacity and the layout of these seats will be very different. We are working with Government and others to explore the impact of the possible relaxation of rules on 21st June midway through the Eastbourne tournament.
As a result of the restrictions we face, unfortunately we are unable to fulfil the rollover of 2020 tickets to 2021 as we had hoped. We appreciate this decision will be disappointing to some but we wanted to give people the option of retaining their ticket for 2022, so they will be able to enjoy a true courtside experience next summer. Ticket(s) will be valid for the same event day(s) and seat(s) and to make things easy, customers do not need to take any action.
If people prefer to have their ticket(s) refunded, they have been contacted separately via email. The face value will be processed and refunded, minus booking fees, within 28 days of the request.
We will confirm next month the ticketing sales information for the 2021 grass court tournaments. We expect this to be via online sales and further details will be released in due course.
