Jack Draper was the only British tennis player who was guaranteed a spot in this year's main draw at Shanghai, but the world No.20 has unfortunately been forced to withdraw from the tournament due to an abdominal injury sustained at the Japan Open.

Billy Harris and Dan Evans will both prepare to compete in the qualifying rounds.

Doubles

This year's doubles draw is stacked with British interest, as five players gear up to take home the penultimate Masters 1000 crown of the season.

Topping the entry list is Joe Salisbury who will join forces with Australia's Matthew Ebden. The Brit has recently split from long-term doubles partner of six years, Rajeev Ram, and has announced that he will team up with fellow Brit Neal Skupski for the 2025 season.

Before that, Salisbury will look to hit form in the business end of this tennis season, as he prepares to hunt down a second title of the year.

Skupski also features on the entry list in Shanghai where he and Michael Venus will pair up once again, while reigning Wimbledon doubles champions Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara will go in pursuit of a first Masters title as a duo. The British, Finnish partnership have been a formidable force on the tour this year, having collected three titles so far and will be eager to finish strong as they look to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals in November.

Newly formed all-British team Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash complete the British doubles contingent.
