Women’s singles - Harriet Dart
Dart ticked off a new milestone in her career in February after leaving her mark at the Transylvania Open. The 27-year-old came through two rounds of qualifying to reach her maiden WTA semi-final at the 250 event – defeating the likes of Anna Bondar, world No.60 Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Nuria Parrizas Diaz.
Despite missing out on a spot in the final to world No.39 Karolina Pliskova, Dart reaped the benefits of an impressive run in Romania as she returned to the WTA’s top 100 – concluding February ranked world No.90.
Dart joins British No.1 Katie Boulter and Jodie Burrage as one of three British women currently ranked inside the world's top 100.
Men’s singles - Cam Norrie
February saw Norrie continue his fast start to the 2024 season, after the British No.1 embarked on another successful South American swing on the clay.
After reaching the second round at the Argentina Open, the Brit headed to the ATP 500 event in Rio, where he last year picked up the crown. The 28-year-old defeated Hugo Dellien and Tomas Barrios in straight sets before coming through a tough three-set battle with Brazil’s Thiago Seyboth Wild 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 to reach the final four.
Although visibly struggling with the conditions in his semi-final match-up against Mariano Navone, Norrie refused to go down without a fight but eventually fell short in a 6-4, 6-2 defeat to the Argentine.
Doubles - Julian Cash
February brought new-found success for British doubles star Cash, who claimed his first career ATP title at Delray Beach.
Having finished runner-up in his previous three tour finals, Cash finally got his breakthrough alongside American Robert Galloway as the two combined to defeat Neal Skupski and Santiago Gonzalez 5-7, 7-5, 10-2 to clinch the title.
The duo followed up their title-winning performance by reaching the quarter-finals at the ATP 500 event in Rio – helping Cash to equal his career-high ranking at world No.47.
Cash is currently one of five British players ranked inside the ATP doubles top 50, alongside Joe Salisbury, Skupski, Jamie Murray and Lloyd Glasspool.
Wheelchair - Lucy Shuker
Shuker’s first LTA Player of the Month award of the season comes after the British No.1 sealed her first doubles title of the year at the Bolton Indoor ITF 2 Wheelchair Tennis Tournament.
Shuker teamed up with fellow Brit Cornelia Oosthuizen to win the ITF 2 doubles trophy for the first time since 2020. The British team defeated Angelica Bernal and Maria Florencia Moreno 6-1, 2-6, 10-8 in the final.
Shuker also won three matches to reach the semi-final in the singles draw.
The 43-year-old also made the singles semi-finals at the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam earlier in the month.
