On 24 April, we will celebrate the winners of the 2025 LTA Tennis Awards at a ceremony at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. Ahead of this exciting event, we are thrilled to unveil the details of our outstanding finalists.
Launched in 2015 by former LTA President Cathie Sabin OBE, these awards honour the countless inspirational individuals who dedicate their time and energy to the growth and development of our sport. Over the past decade, the awards have evolved to recognise emerging contributions, continually highlighting the incredible talent and commitment within Britain’s tennis and padel community. They serve as a source of inspiration, encouraging more people to volunteer, coach, officiate, or play the sport.
This year’s finalists were selected from over 2,000 nominations spanning 12 categories. They first emerged as County Award Winners before advancing to the National Panels for further evaluation.
Our esteemed judging panels included LTA colleagues and councillors, elite players, officials, past award winners, and representatives from the media, politics, charitable organisations, and our commercial partners.
Notable experts involved in the selection process included sports podcaster and commentator Naomi Cavaday, Paralympian Louise Hunt-Skelley, current British No.1 women’s wheelchair tennis player Lucy Shuker, Jamie Baker, Tournament Director from the AELTC, and Alison Hughes, one of the world’s most distinguished chair umpires.
Sandi Procter, President of the LTA, is excited about the event. She said: “I would like to congratulate all our finalists and look forward to welcoming them to the National Tennis Centre later this month. Being named a finalist is a true testament to their hard work and dedication to our sport.
“In many categories, the panels faced an incredibly tough decision due to the remarkable achievements highlighted in the nominations. It’s a reflection of the extraordinary individuals who contribute to tennis across Britain. I can’t wait to meet you all.
“Good luck to everyone on the day!”
Jess Downs, Workforce Support Manager at the LTA, leads on the awards. She said: “I’d like to extend my thanks to the judges and representatives from various organisations who dedicated their time to the selection process; their support and thoughtful evaluations of the award nominees are instrumental in helping us get to this stage of the process.
“We are delighted to see so many people as enthusiastic as we are about recognising the individuals and venues that make grassroots tennis inclusive, welcoming, and enjoyable for all - regardless of age, ability, or background. Tennis and padel are for everyone!”
