Johnson picks up 13th career Challenger title
Luke Johnson had another standout week on the ATP Challenger Tour with the 31-year-old claiming his 13th Challenger title since 2023.
Teaming up with Dutchman Sander Arends, the pair enjoyed a run to the final of the Monza Challenger where they dropped just one set on their way to the crown.
Their toughest challenge came in the semi-finals where they edged a tight match-deciding tie-break against Matej Vocel and Szymon Walkow.
In the final, they took on home favourites and all-Italian duo Filippo Romano and Jacopo Vasami in a near flawless performance that saw them prevail 6-1, 6-1 and etch their names on the trophy.
Johnson’s victory in Monza has propelled him to a new career-high ranking of world No.48 - marking his first time inside the ATP top 50.
Hussey and Stewart sweep up M15 titles
Giles Hussey had a week to remember after claiming his first title of the year on the ITF tour at the M15 Monastir.
The 27-year-old kick-started his campaign with a straight sets victory over fellow Brit Louis Allen before clocking straight set victories over Filip Krolo, Arthur Reymond and Britain’s James Story to book his spot in the final.
There, Hussey fought back from a set down to defeat Germany’s Robert Strombachs 3-6, 7-6(2), 6-4 and take home the crown.
From Tunisia to Egypt, Hamish Stewart also tasted title success at the M15 Sharm El Sheikh alongside doubles partner Amr Elsayed - marking back-to-back titles for the 25-year-old Brit.
While Stewart had partnered Germany’s Niklas Schell on his way to the doubles crown in Sharm El Sheikh the week before, he joined forces with home favourite Elsayed to seal his second successive M15 doubles trophy.
The pair emerged victorious after fighting through a tight battle against Vesa Ahti and Viktor Jovic, with the British, Egyptian pair edging a 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 win.
This victory marked Stewart’s fifth ITF doubles title of the 2025 season.
Adeshina wins second pro-level doubles title
Six months after claiming her maiden ITF doubles title, British star Esther Adeshina added a second trophy to her collection at the W15 Monastir event.
The 23-year-old teamed up with American Abigail Rencheli where they sprinted through to the final without dropping a set.
Adeshina and Rencheli secured the title after coming through a three-set battle against Josy Daems and Vilma Krebs Hyllested to win 6-3, 6-7(4), 10-6.

Greg Slade produced the most notable performance of the week among Britain’s wheelchair players after partnering Turkey’s Ahmet Kaplan to reach the quad doubles final at the ITF Seoul Korea Open.
Second seeds Slade and Kaplan were beaten in the final by top seeds Sam Schroder of the Netherlands and David Wagner of the USA 6-0, 7-5.
Slade is one of four Brits that will now contest this week’s Japan Open, the third event on the 2025 UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour to have Super Series status, along with recent Cougar Open Houston champions Ben Bartram and Lucy Shuker, as well as Andrew Penney.
