LTA Tennis Foundation Charity Challenge exhibition announced at the cinch Championships
• 2 MINUTE READ
A new LTA Tennis Foundation Charity Challenge is coming to the cinch Championships, as for the first time we will be hosting a charity exhibition event on centre court on Sunday 18 June.
Transforming the Queen’s Club into an award-winning Tournament venue is complex with a very tight build schedule of temporary event infrastructure. The time we have on site is limited and this means build and fit-out work is being completed over the qualifying weekend. It will not be safe to have the public walking around the site with access to the outside courts where qualifying takes place. This is solely based on health and safety concerns as the final areas of this compact venue are prepared to welcome spectators.
However, this year for the first time ever, we will be hosting a charity exhibition event on centre court on Sunday 18 June. There will be up to 2000 tickets available to allow spectators onto a portion of the site to see some top players and raise money for the LTA Tennis Foundation.
This event will allow more spectators to come to the Queen’s Club over the Qualifying weekend than in the history of the tournament, raising money for the LTA Tennis Foundation to allow us to change more lives through tennis and open up our sport to more new audiences.
Great Britain's Dan Evans is set to feature in the singles charity exhibition match, alongisde Australia's Alex De Minaur, Sebastian Korda and Feliciano Lopez, while Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram, Nicolas Mahut and Fabrice Martin, Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek and Evans and Lloyd Glasspool complete the doubles line-up.
