What’s at stake?
There’s plenty to play for at the LTA Junior National Tennis Championships this year.
In partnership with the All England Club, there are some very exciting Wimbledon wild card opportunities for the winners and runners-up of this year’s singles tournaments.
Up for grabs are:
- A wild card into the qualifying event for Wimbledon, as well as a wild card into the main draw of the Wimbledon junior championships for the 18U male and female winners.
- A wild card into the main draw of the Wimbledon junior championships for the 18U male and female runners-up.
- A wild card into the main draw of the Wimbledon junior championships for the 16U male and female winners.
- A wild card into the qualifying event of the junior championships for the 16U male and female runners-up.
Which British players have competed in the Junior National Tennis Championships?
Previous winners of the 16U event include British No.1 Dan Evans, British No.2 Heather Watson and rising stars Paul Jubb, Jack Draper and Harriet Dart.
Three-time Grand Slam Champion Andy Murray, and two-time ATP Tour champion Kyle Edmund are both previous winners of the 14U title, while Great Britain’s Billie Jean King Cup Captain Anne Keothavong is a past 18U champion.
