Following their victories both players, who are both part of the National Tennis Academy at Loughborough University, have qualified for the main draw of Junior Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in July.

“To play at Wimbledon is a dream come true to be honest,” said Coquelin. “I’ve always dreamt of playing at Wimbledon. Also, to have the home support will be brilliant.”

“I’m going to carry on training on the grass here and then hopefully do well in the 18U event next week,” said Shaw. “I would love to win Junior Wimbledon in a month’s time and obviously to play in the women’s Wimbledon in two years would be great!”
