“Oh my God – this is a fricking workout!” Jamie Murray exclaimed during his first-ever wheelchair tennis session at the cinch Championships.
During his time as Tournament Director, Murray joined up with 2016 Paralympic gold medallist and now 27-time Grand Slam champion Gordon Reid for a masterclass in how to play wheelchair tennis.
Ahead of the wheelchair tennis exhibition match at The Queen’s Club between Alfie Hewett and Reid against Belgium’s Joachim Gerard and the Netherland’s Tom Egberink, the British No.2 took Murray through all the basics from moving around on court to playing rallies.
