20-year-old Jack Draper has become the first British player ever to qualify for the Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan.
Taking place at Milan’s Allianz Cloud from 8-12 November, the Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals brings together the eight top ranked players under 21 to compete in an end of year finals competition.
The young Brit joins Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti and Holger Rune as the first three players to qualify for the 2022 Next Gen Finals.
Draper – who is supported by our Pro Scholarship Programme – broke into the ATP top 50 for the first time earlier this year, following a breakout season in 2022.

Having started the year at world No.265, Draper marched his way up the rankings after winning four Challenger titles in Forli and St. Brieuc – becoming the first player in history to win four Challenger trophies in the first quarter of a season.
His success translated onto the ATP Tour as well, where he reached the semi-finals at the Rothesay International Eastbourne in front of the home crowd, as well as picking up wins at ATP Masters events in Miami and Madrid.
Arguably his best result of the season came in Montreal at this year’s Canada Masters, where he progressed through qualifying to reach his first ATP 1000 quarter-final. Draper has been no stranger to defeating top ranked players this season and knocked out four players in the top 75 en route to the final eight in Canada – including world No.5 Stefanos Tsitsipas.
After a third round bout at the US Open – where he upset world No.8 Felix Auger-Aliassime – Draper has bounced back from injury in Antwerp this week, starting out with a 6-1, 6-2 win against American Jenson Brooksby.
