Italian Open 2022: UK TV times, live stream, schedule, location

• 3 MINUTE READ

The ATP and WTA Tours now shift their attention to Rome for the last Masters event before the 2022 French Open. Find out everything you need to know about the Italian Open right here.

When is the Italian Open 2022?

The main draw for the ATP event kicks off from Sunday 8 May, while the WTA competition starts on Monday 9 May.

The finals are scheduled in for Sunday 15 May.

Where is the Italian Open 2022 being held?

Set at one of Italy's biggest sports complexes - the Foro Italiano - the Italian Open will once again take place at the Stadio del Tennis di Roma.

Opened in 2010 in the heart of Rome, the stadium can hold up to 10,584 spectators and has become one of the most iconic venues across the tennis calendar.

Which British players will be competing in the Italian Open 2022?

Cam Norrie and Dan Evans will lead the charge for the Brits in the men's singles - both coming off decent weeks in Madrid. British No.1, Norrie, who lost a three-set thriller with Carlos Alcaraz in his previous match, has reached the second round in Rome twice in 2019 and 2021 having battled through qualifiers.

Evans on the other hand will go in search of his first main draw win in Rome but comes in with confidence growing with two strong wins on the clay this week.

Emma Raducanu will play her first match at the Italian Open next week, coming in as the 10th seed. The young Brit is enjoying her time on the clay at the moment, where she is proving to find success. A third round run in Madrid and a couple of wins in Stuttgart should set her up well for a great performance.

Doubles

World No.1 Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram will look to bounce back from their second round exit in Madrid when they head to Italy. The Monte-Carlo champions will be looking to get some wins under their belt ahead of the French Open.

Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski are still in the Mutua Madrid Open at the moment with their partners Michael Venus and Wesley Koolhof. Pending successful weekends in Spain, both will want to back up a series of strong performances with a run at the title in Rome.

Norrie is the final Brit in the doubles draw, alongside Pedro Martinez.
