First-class tennis continues in Great Britain as the Aegon GB F5 Futures Roehampton returns to the National Tennis Centre.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of Richmond Park, some of the country’s top young players will take to the hard courts and contest the $15,000 ITF Pro Circuit event which will feature men’s singles and doubles from September 17 – 23.
The tournament features a great line-up of players including last week's Nottingham F4 Futures finalist Oliver Golding and champion Lloyd Glasspool, and it's shaping up to be one of the best ITF Pro Circuit tournaments in the country.
British players including Marcus Willis, Finn Bass, Neil Pauffley and Jonathan Gray are all returning from tournaments around the world to play in front of a home crowd. Jack Draper is also one to watch out for; aged only 15, he is comfortably through to qualifying and will compete in the main draw.
Aegon GB Pro-Series Roehampton Tournament Director Emma Balfour-Evans said: “It is great to watch some of Britain’s talented young players compete at Roehampton. We are fortunate enough to stage the event at the National Tennis Centre which is always a great venue as the facilities and staffs here are first class. I hope the spectators enjoy the opportunity to see world ranked players in action on home soil.
"With a great blend of British and overseas players, the event draws some exciting young players who are looking to have a bright future in the game. With free entry for the duration of the tournament it is a great opportunity local fans to get up close to some fantastic tennis.”
