On Saturday 11 November, the 21-year-old British star is set to face France’s Adrian Mannarino for a shot at his first ATP title of his career. The final is scheduled for 13:00.
Draper has been on an incredible run this week – making his way to his first ATP final without dropping a set. He's the youngest British player to do so since Andy Murray in 2009.
Having opened the week with a victory against Maximillian Marterer, Draper moved on to defeat top seed and world No.27 Lorenzo Musetti 7-5, 6-2 in the second round. After brushing aside Turkey’s Cem Ilkel in the quarter-finals, Draper produced another upset win over third seed Jan-Lennard Struff in the semis 6-3, 6-4.
The British No.4 is currently on a nine-match winning streak, stretching back to last week, where he won his fifth career ATP Challenger title in Bergamo. In an injury-struck season, Draper has managed to battle his way back into the top 100, reached the fourth round of the US Open and earnt himself a debut for the Lexus Great Britain Davis Cup team in Manchester.
To win his maiden ATP title Draper will have to battle past world No.25 Mannarino, who has enjoyed a strong season so far in 2023.
The Frenchman has won two titles so far this year – at Newport in July and Astana less than two months ago – as well as making the final in Mallorca.
So far this week, Mannarino has fought past Albert Ramos-Vinolas, Sebastian Ofner and Pavel Kotov to book a final clash with Draper.
